Over these first days, you’ll experience the best of both worlds , from sushi-making and sake tastings to strolling through Asakusa in your elegant kimono. Days 4-5

We’ll leave the city behind for the peaceful retreat of Hakone, nestled in the foothills of Mt. Fuji. Expect hot springs, cable cars, lake cruises, and sweeping views of Japan’s most sacred peak.

  • Japan in October is generally comfortable and sunny. Pack layers for cooler evenings, a light rain jacket, and comfortable walking shoes. You'll also need a scarf or wrap for temple visits and a swimsuit for the onsen. A full packing list will be provided.

  • Fly into Tokyo Haneda International Airport (HND) or Narita International Airport (NRT). Depart from Kansai International Airport (KIX) in Osaka. We recommend arriving before 5 PM on Day 1 to join our welcome dinner. Private transportation from the airport is included.
